Eluanbi Lighthouse ( Jessie Lee)

Eluanbi Lighthouse is at the southernmost tip of Taiwan, and close to the beach.
At night, Eluanbi Lighthouse can serve for toilsome fishermen by helping them find their way back to the shore.


鵝鑾鼻燈塔在台灣的最南端,而且靠近海邊，


所以晚上時它會替辛苦的漁夫點亮明燈找到回家的路。

Bamboo dragonfly is a kind of famous toy in Taiwan.
It is made from bamboos.
People in the southwest of China started to play with it about 1500 years ago.
A bamboo dragonfly flies like a helicopter.
Put your hands together and spin the bamboo dragonfly, and it will fly.

The reason we have zongzi( a rice dumpling wrapped in leaves) in late summer can be traced back to ancient times when Qu Yuan, who was a patriot, committed suicide by jumping into a river. Sad villagers feared that fish and shrimp would eat up Qu Yuan's body in the river, so they made zongzi and threw them into the river, hoping to keep Qu Yuan's body intact.
Zongzi has become more fancy and is made with pork , peanut , salted duck egg fillings ,etc. besides polished glutinous rice.

傳說粽子最早是因鄉民於屈原投江後，怕江中的魚蝦吃掉屈原的身體，才用竹葉包糯米飯投入河中，想要使屈原身體完整，後來所包的食物除糯米外，還加入豬肉、花生、鹹蛋等內餡，而演變成現代的粽子。

卓正岳Zhuozheng Yue油紙傘是美濃最著名的手工藝，早期美濃人自廣東請來的師傅，傳授
油紙傘技藝，墊下了美濃傘業的根基，雖然經過一連串風光與沒落的
歲月，但是還是有一些人還是默默堅持著這份工作。而目前油紙傘的
角色也開始慢慢的轉為遊客們追尋的文化焦點了。Mino paper umbrellas are the most famous of the arts and crafts. Early Mino people invited people from Guangdong to teach them how to make paper umbrellas. The skills they learned help them become the best paper umbrella makers and put Mino on the map!
They enjoyed the prosperity for quite a while, however their popularity declined because of modern materials, like plastic, were stronger.
But some people still insist on making paper umbrellas to keep a big part of their history alive. This silent passion has started interest in the paper umbrellas of Mino for visitors to come to search for earlier and simpler times.

Everyone congratulates one another by saying,” Best wishes for a happy New Year!” ” May all your wishes be fulfilled.” ” The five blessings-- wealth, health, -- descend upon your house!”這是有關台灣的兩個吊飾。它象徵著『招財進寶』，讓我們能賺更多錢。台灣的新年很特別，我們都會送我們的親戚一個紅包，每個人都會向對方祝賀「恭賀新禧」「萬事如意」「五福臨門」。
